Drivetime draws take place at 16:49 UK time. It is one of four daily UK 49s draws, alongside Brunchtime, Lunchtime and Teatime. Here are the key points to know about the Drivetime draw.

• You can place bets right up until the draw takes place at 16:49 UK time
• Six main numbers are randomly selected from a pool of 1 to 49, followed by one Booster Ball from the remaining 43.
• You choose whether to play the 6-Number draw (excluding the Booster) or the 7-Number draw (including the Booster).
• Each draw has a variety of betting markets, including straight, combination, 1st number and Booster Ball number
• Bet on which numbers will be drawn. Pick from one to five numbers - you win if all the selected numbers are drawn

How to Play 49s Drivetime

UK 49s is a prediction game on which numbers will be drawn. For the most popular ‘straight’ market, bet on a minimum of one number from 1 to 49, up to a maximum of five numbers.

You can also choose your draw type – 6-Number of 7-Number. This relates to whether you include the Booster Ball (7-Number draw) or not, giving you an extra chance to match your picks but reducing the potential payouts compared to the 6-Number draw.

Unlike standard lotteries with fixed ticket prices, you decide how much to wager. Your payout is a multiple of this stake.

Depending on your chosen bookmaker, you may also find these specialized markets:

• Combination: Select up to 14 numbers to cover multiple potential winning combinations.
• 1st Number: Predict the very first ball drawn (different from the first number shown in the results, as they may be displayed in ascending order)
