UK 49s Brunchtime Overview

Brunchtime is the first of the four daily UK 49s draws, but otherwise it works exactly the same as the Lunchtime, Drivetime and Teatime games. Here is a summary of the key elements:

• Draws are held at 11:49 AM UK time. The cut-off time for placing your bets is immediately before the numbers are selected
• In each draw, six balls from 1 to 49 are selected at random, followed by one Booster Ball from the remaining 43 numbers
• You can choose to bet on the 6-Number draw (Booster Ball not included) or the 7-Number draw (which includes the Booster Ball)
• Bet on which numbers will be drawn. Pick between one and five numbers from 1 to 49 – you win if all the selected numbers are drawn
• There’s a range of other markets available to, including combination bets, 1st number bets or just betting on the Booster Ball
• 49s isn’t available at bookmakers in South Africa but it can be played online

How to Play 49s Brunchtime

There are various markets to bet on in 49s Brunchtime, but the main game (known as a straight) requires you to bet on which numbers will be drawn from 1 to 49. There are two important considerations here:

First, decide whether to pick one, two, three, four or five numbers. Second, decide whether that includes the Booster Ball or not. Playing the Booster Ball (7-Number draw) gives you a better chance of winning as there is an extra number that you can match.

Unlike most other lotteries, you can also decide how much to wager. This determines how much you can win. Depending on which betting site you use, the following markets may also be available:

• Combination - Choose up to 14 numbers and a combination of all these numbers will be entered into the draw via the straight method
• 1st Number - A bet on the first number to be drawn (the results may show in ascending order, so you'll need to check which was drawn first)
• Booster Ball Number - Select the number that you think will be drawn as the Booster Ball
• Odd/Even - Bet on whether the value of each individual number will be odd or even
• Hi Lo - A wager on whether a ball will be higher or lower than a specific value (such as 24.5)
• Total Value - Bet on what the total value of all six balls will be. There will be ranges to choose from, with different odds
• Booster Ball colour - Bet on which colour the Booster Ball will be (each number in UK 49s has a specific colour)

Indicate on your bet slip that you want to play the Brunchtime draw, and how many consecutive draws you want to play. You can enter as many as seven days in a row on some sites. There’s no set wager amount, but the maximum bet will be determined by the bookmaker.
